Comments: The High Rappel Dell is in the midst of a "facelift". Members of the Prescott Climber's Coalition are replacing the old hardware with bolts provided by the American Safe Climbing Association. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at kevininprescott@yahoo.com.

Comments: The route described in this post is called "Pucker Factor" 5.7 It was put up by Rusty Baillie in the early 90's. He says if you climb direct at first bolt it boulders in around 5.9. Huckleberry Thin is the route to the right climbs a shallow crack past 4 bolts and is somewhat scary. Huckleberry Thinner is a variation that traverses right after 1st bolt on H Thin and is missing it's second bolt.

Comments: This route originally only joined with Dulfer for a few moves and then exits to the left and ends up at the bottom of the second pitch of The Siege. Savage Amusement has a second pitch at about 12a. This pitch was put up about 20 years ago and ends at he same anchor as the second pitch of The Siege.

Comments: Better to walk off to the west from the top anchors. Rapping to the tree takes you over a bees nest in a flake and isn't that great for the tree. It also takes a lot longer than the very easy walk off down the slabs on the west flank.

Comments: The name of this route is "Pilot". It was first climbed by Julie T. in 1991 or 92. I shored up the belay anchor many years ago. The second pitch is super cool if you climb past a bolt and climb a horizontal finger crack to the right for about 50' until a vertical crack is gained. Follow the next crack upward to a belay stance. One of my favorites.

Comments: "Kyphosis" 10b is the mixed route up the curved crack just right of the person in the picture. two bolts and small cams, to .75 camalot. Rap anchor at the top. "Catharsis" is the TR just left and uses the same anchor. The route to the right of "Kyphosis" is called "Two to Tango" 5.11c. It has 2 bolts and requires a small stopper.

Comments: We developed the routes on this wall several years ago before the constellation trail system was built. Back then it was an overland approach and the wall was truly "Lost". Chris H. respectfully named the trail after the wall. Many routes have been done in the area and will appear in the Granite Dells Guide that I am putting together with Bill Cramer. Note that like many routes in the dells gear is required often between bolts. Bolts are 3/8" x 3". Be careful and have fun. If you have questions ... more >>

Comments: Luke, the bolts at the beginning are still missing. The anchor is one shared with Stairway to Heaven and requires that you leave slings or top out on stairway.

Comments: I climbed this back in '92, I can't imagine it was't climbed prior to that. Fun area too bad the approach slab isn't steeper.
