Comments: The route above the bolt is called "After Hours" 9+ if you finish out left and about 5.9 if you trend up and right to the bolt anchor. Bill Cramer and I put this up several years ago. Bring some small cams.

Location: AZ : Central Arizona : Prescott Areas : Granite Dells/Watson Lake D... : High Rappel Dell : Presidente (5.10a)

Comments: Presidente Direct is a direct start from the ground to the upper dihedral. Climb up the very shallow right facing corner to ledge and continue past two new bolts (10) and continue past bolt on missing link. Continue face climbing with good gear upward into El Presidente's dihedral. This variation climbed in 1990 with very bad gear. Retro-bolted in 2012.

Comments: Nick of Time climbs face to left of bolts and Time Slot climbs more defined corner to the right. However they both use the same bolts.

Comments: The High Rappel Dell is in the midst of a "facelift". Members of the Prescott Climber's Coalition are replacing the old hardware with bolts provided by the American Safe Climbing Association. If you have any questions or concerns please contact me at kevininprescott@yahoo.com.

Comments: Guidebook from the 80's has this as a variation to missing link and rates it at 5.9. A rap chain has been added at the top; 35 meters or 115 feet to the ground.

Location: AZ : Central Arizona : Prescott Areas : Granite Dells/Watson Lake D... : High Rappel Dell : Huckleberry Thin (5.7)
By: Kevin Keith When: Oct 25, 2012

Comments: The route described in this post is called "Pucker Factor" 5.7 It was put up by Rusty Baillie in the early 90's. He says if you climb direct at first bolt it boulders in around 5.9. Huckleberry Thin is the route to the right climbs a shallow crack past 4 bolts and is somewhat scary. Huckleberry Thinner is a variation that traverses right after 1st bolt on H Thin and is missing it's second bolt.

Comments: The Prescott Climber's Coalition and The ASCA replaced the bolted anchor on the ledge at the top of the first pitch. It is now a chained rap anchor.

Location: AZ : Central Arizona : Prescott Areas : Granite Dells/Watson Lake D... : High Rappel Dell : Savage Amusement (5.11d)

Comments: This route originally only joined with Dulfer for a few moves and then exits to the left and ends up at the bottom of the second pitch of The Siege. Savage Amusement has a second pitch at about 12a. This pitch was put up about 20 years ago and ends at he same anchor as the second pitch of The Siege.

Comments: The Prescott Climbers Coalition with the help of the ASCA has replaced the belay anchor with a rap anchor and also the top anchor with a rap anchor. Also the first bolt off the ledge has been replaced.

Location: AZ : Central Arizona : Prescott Areas : Granite Mountain : Granite Basin Crags : Waves of Rock
By: Kevin Keith When: Jun 2, 2012

Comments: Better to walk off to the west from the top anchors. Rapping to the tree takes you over a bees nest in a flake and isn't that great for the tree. It also takes a lot longer than the very easy walk off down the slabs on the west flank.

Comments: The name of this route is "Pilot". It was first climbed by Julie T. in 1991 or 92. I shored up the belay anchor many years ago. The second pitch is super cool if you climb past a bolt and climb a horizontal finger crack to the right for about 50' until a vertical crack is gained. Follow the next crack upward to a belay stance. One of my favorites.

Comments: "Kyphosis" 10b is the mixed route up the curved crack just right of the person in the picture. two bolts and small cams, to .75 camalot. Rap anchor at the top. "Catharsis" is the TR just left and uses the same anchor. The route to the right of "Kyphosis" is called "Two to Tango" 5.11c. It has 2 bolts and requires a small stopper.
