Comments: Robert,
Do you walk all of this? When I tried it 20+ years ago, we rapped off a bunch of junk to get to the top of SOFB.

Comments: Great route for BCC, definite 3 star! Long (180+'), steep, and great rock and great positions. Double set of TCUs and a full set of wired stoppers will do, but bring a bunch of full length runners, for the first 6 or 7 placement (it will really help with rope drag). Tenesmus is right, start in corner and climb straight up below 2nd bolt (skip the Glass Oceans start and first bolt left of Glass Oceans), there's gear if you want it but climbing is easy.

The start is steep but reasonable, after several hundred yards it turns into flat alpine fields with lots of water. Just continue across until the Col at the top of Hogum. It is very easy to find, as the west ridge of the Pfeifferhorn b... more >>

Comments: I do not remember the belay at the bottom, it is ossible we placed one. We traversed in from the east side. I doubt we would have placed bolts if there was gear but it is possible as there was a fair amount of air time.

The belay at the top was two pins, It is pobably a good thing they were replaced.
