Comments: We climbed this route (sort of) and it was enjoyable. However, I had a hard time following the Roach guidebook description. I don't think that there was any time where what we were climbing correlated with the guidebook description. I think we were too far East. That said, the climbing was pretty fun, and we were able to figure out ways to keep going up, with the hardest pitches going at 5.7.

Comments: I was climbing at Vail yesterday.

Lots of large ice features are falling down.

Large SUV-sized ice chunks next to the Rigid Designator where the adjacent climb collapsed.

While we were there, a German woman was climbing a very hard mixed route under the Fang, pulled onto the partially formed pillar at the top, and the whole thing came off while she was on it. Literally tons of ice came down and exploded at the base.

Luckily, nobody was hurt.

Be careful out there.
