Comments: This cliff is definitely exfoliating - be careful what you yard on.

Comments: The dihedral up and right of the climbers is the Dewar Dihedral route. It's very obvious when you're up there.

Comments: Thought it felt harder than .10c - thanks for the correction.

Comments: We used the belay halfway up the dihedral so we could re-use the gear from pitch 1 (drilled angle and bolt were in good shape). Dihedral pitches were fantastic (felt like 10+). Got shut down on the OW (pitch 3) due to lack of big gear. Rock Climbing Colorado calls that pitch 5.10 offwidth, and by looking at it, I would have to agree. Pretty lousy rock, bring some big gear for that pitch or have some big balls, ha.

Comments: Nice thin liebacking to start, and then it gets pretty wide at the top with a spicy mantel. I used a tipped out #6 Camalot at the top to protect the mantel. It's all there, fun climb!

Comments: Didn't need a #4, but used a couple #3s...fun little climb, looks rowdy above the chains.

Comments: The third pitch is burly and sketchy, definitely rated "R" and no way it's 5.9...for some reason I was carrying two Trango Ballnuts and was able to get decent placements at the second crux (after the bolt crux and below the nice hand jams). There was no other gear to be found until the bomber jams above.

Comments: Cool route - great getaway from the crowds. Wear comfy shoes or the slab will win. Did every pitch separately due to the comments about rope drag. All pitches except for the 5th are quite short and go pretty quickly. I found the patina to be very cool and fun to climb on. Lowest quality rock is on pitch 1, but that's about 5.4 climbing. Pitch 2 is a little reachy but certainly all there; the crux is not the main bulge above the 1st belay but a little after that on the thin face a... more >>

Comments: Fun route! Linked pitches 2-3, but should have linked 2-4 as there would have been plenty of rope and it would have saved some time at the belays. Went right at roof on pitch two and up the finger crack with a couple crux moves...didn't see any pin on this variation...
Also, tried to link 5-6 all the way up to the rap tree but came up 8 feet short on a 60m rope! Bummer! Had to build an anchor 8 feet below tree...I'd read you can link those two pitches but it must be with a 70m rope.
Super fu... more >>

Comments: I thought this was a great route until I reached the bolt just below the last piton...super heady climbing above and very run-out...about 20 feet to the piton on smears which could lead to a 40 footer if you go south...I climbed up and then down climbed this section about 4 times before bailing on a biner i left...the ground up bolting ethic is insane and i give lots of credit to these animals for getting it done

Comments: Did 'Kor-Ingalls' 6/9/09...never climbed anything like it! The off-widths would have been fine had there been no calcite, but the slippery-ness made it ruthless...tough to get good gear placements on the calcite as the cams were sliding around and not very sound...used a #4 big bro on pitch three that was essential for us. Thought the 5.9 grade was pretty damn sandbagged, but i'm not an experienced off-width climber so it may be dead on. This route is definitely full value and no pitche... more >>
