Comments: Not too much loose rock, well protected 5.10 sections, this route is fantastic!

Comments: What are the conditions on Notch Peak like in the summer, and more specifically La Fin du Monde?

Comments: Stiff 5.11. I did this twice and got beaten up pretty good on my second ascent. You can, in fact, aid through the crux if necessary! Ballnut and/or 00 C3 in stemming corner, then BD 0.75 fits in the crack just after the stem.
Enjoy.

Comments: I agree, #6 šamalot is perfect for backing up the bolts. There is a very short section before the first bolt where a #4 would fit but is on easy climbing, then you're on #6 chicken wing terrain. I thought it was very well protected. Enjoy!

Comments: Does any one know if the chasm view rappels can be done with a 60 or 70 meter or are double ropes necessary?

Comments: Additional approach beta:
Hike out of Summit Lake parking lot following Mt. Evans trail, then veer off this trail as it starts to take you uphill and away from the Black Wall rim, follow the rim past the Black Wall. Now to find the ramp that drops you off at the routes continue following the rim past the largest gully. After you pass this gully and the rim starts to turn north, you will find the ramp on the other side of the next buttress/ prow feature.

Comments: I tried this problem last weekend and got stopped in my tracks at the offwidth section. After grabbing the good face hold with a good right hand jam and my feet above your head in the crack, what do you do? Is there and offwidth guru out there with the beta!?

Comments: I have tried to find this boulder on 3 different occasions now but left empty handed every time:( Does any one have any insight on how to find it?! I understand some of you might want to keep this area hidden from the public, and the exploration aspect of climbing is part of what draws us all, but how about a clue? A Mountain Project scavenger hunt if you will. :)
