Comments: Nice perspective.

The only thing missing is the climber.

Comments: Shorter or longer versions, it's all good to know about. Thanks for posting the route.

Presumably, there are anchors to mark the top, but it looks like you forgot to mention them.

Comments: That sounds like a good description of the route. Perhaps though it is more a complementary route to Battered Sandwich, seeing as it faces the other way.

For the 5.7 climbers who crave more routes and 5.8-9 climbers seeking more warm-ups, it would be worth it to clean.

Oh my though, I didn't know those bolts were rusting.

Comments: There are Rakkup guides for Exit 32 and Exit 38. But if you don't have a smartphone, you're out of luck. I had heard on cascadeclimbers.com about a standard guide coming out recently, but don't know the status of that.

Comments: Nice shot. The climbing action is great, of course, but those leaves in the background are like a designed pattern of green.

Comments: Is there anything unique or special about this climb?
What type of climbing?
Any description at all would help, thanks.

Comments: I suspect that nobody has done any routes there since the FAs were done. Hot Curlie and Poop Shute appeared in Darryl Cramer's Sky Valley Rock (2000), but offered no useful info about the routes.

When I went back last year, I saw lots of potential for great crack lines, but could not find the ones I had done previously. Hot Curly Wienie was a fantastic thin crack, but where did it go?

So, it is as if the slate has been wiped clean, and we are back to square one. You just have to go there and ... more >>

Comments: Thanks Becca!

I particularly like that 'awesome like me' part. Don't we all tend to chase the waterfalls?

Comments: It's too bad how that crag has mossed over.

When we first did this corner in '80 or '81 (actually just partway, then exited left over to the face crack), we didn't have to do any cleaning.

Comments: The simplest would be the Velvet Pedestal, if that last pitch has been cleaned up.

Or, do Steel Pulse to the end, traverse left to the base of "A Hatch". Belay near the v-thread anchor, and go up and right on a 5.9 face-to crack pitch. This last pitch is that on "Lookout Point Direct" (LPD), which hasn't been posted yet.

Others have done Strange Boar -> Frenchwoman -> Black Rock -> last pitch of LPD as above. You can skip the first two by doing Law and... more >>

However, I think the correct answer to this koan is 'Because it wasn't a bobcat'.
