Comments: My wife, Michele, and I climbed this 7/4/14 and had a great time. We agree that the approach is best made when some snow is still in the cirque. The route itself was fantastic! We took just a set of nuts without the largest one, four slings, and a 20m rope. In general, the rock was really good quality, and we didn't find that much loose stuff to deal with. The top was more broken up, so we stepped left for the last 100' to get a bit more roped climbing in, and come off the climb right next ... more >>

Comments: Best photo of the trip for showing the feeling of the route near the top. You rock!

Comments: Climbed this route on June 21, 2014 with my wife, Michele. We had good snow almost the whole way, only getting sugary in spots on the last 100 feet or so. We put a rope on for the last 50 feet of snow, as little sluffs were starting to spontaneously release here and there, and it was steep! Moving right to the snow patch under the North summit was not looking like a safe option with little snow connecting over, so we moved left and climbed to the South summit. After chilling for an hour or s... more >>

Comments: My wife and I climbed this as our last route of a fun Eastern Reef long weekend. We enjoyed the approach hike witch took about 45 minutes or so of generally flat walking. Very enjoyable pitches of climbing, with the last very well positioned and topping out on a pointy little summit with room for one. Maybe the second ascent?

Comments: Craig Hughes and I (John Evans) climbed this on April 28th, 2012, and found the register unsigned by any other parties other that the first ascensionists. Guess we were the second ascent? Fun route, that is generally low angle all. A bit of fun route finding getting started and part way up. Between hard choices and easier ones, we kept it at 5.6 or easier.

Then while figuring out what to do for the afternoon, Paul Ross and his wife walked up!

Thanks for all the great routes in the Swell, ... more >>

Comments: I did finally hear from La Posada. Apparently, when I was trying to contact them, they had just finished up a very busy, week long holiday in Mexico, and were taking a break to catch their breath.

All is fine, and we were able to make reservations for Thanksgiving week at La Posada.

Comments: This is a fun route to a very cool little summit. First pitch is pretty spicy in one spot. The rest goes very smoothly. As of 5/14/2011, some of the anchors could use fresh webbing.

Comments: Does anybody have up-to-date contact info for Posada's? (such as a phone number) I've been trying to reach them via both phone and email in order to reserve a room for Thanksgiving week, but had no luck getting a return e-mail.

Is everything okay with them? Any info would be appreciated.

Comments: This is such a classic route. My wife and I's most climbed route in the Wasatch. Quiet, clean, multipitch, with fun variations on the top two pitches. Recently, a storm washed the rack-up boulder at the base into the scrub oak. Must have been A LOT of water coming down that corner!
