Comments: Great route. Boston Rocks seems sandbagged at 5.10. 2 bolts make this route simple to set up for TR.

Comments: Great route. See if you can find the piton on the way up. Got to within 5 feet of the top. 2 bolts at top make this super easy to set up TR. Make sure to tie in for safety. Was up on top at 6.30am. New paint and humidity made thinks slick.

Comments: Great climb. Learned to layback on this route. Base was super super slick. Climbed on May 2011 while taking a trad anchor class. Set up anchors in a crack at the top of the climb using tri Cams and nuts.

Was dropped by my belay parter. You know who you are. : )

But what is an 8 foot fall between friends.

Comments: Went to Joe's Rock to top rope. July 2011. As far as we saw, there were no bolts. We climbed about 4/5th down the left face. We climbed to the right of It's a Bargain on a no named route, I think, that is 5.7.

Joe's is tricky to set up top rope anchors. From the top, you can't see the base of the climb without someone down climbing. Even then, with the canopy of leaves being so thick, placement of anchors for the route you want is very tough and time consuming.

We used two 50 meter ropes.... more >>
