Comments: I guess I misread the grey Williams: "P1: 5.6 PG Scramble to ledge, Then up flakes (crux) and corner to the GT Ledge. (130ft)"
I guess this is why it felt so super easy on lead ^^
P2 was much more comitting even as 2nd

Comments: P2 can totally rival High-E. A totally different climb, but yet similar. The crux is at the point with the most exposure and same level of exposure like High-E. Just a beautiful, classic climb. Only your last piece is terribly far away at the crux. Spicy for sure ...
Even P1 is worth doing on its own - WAY better than P1 of High-E. Good pitch to put a new 5.5 leader on since it's easy to protect

Comments: The route climbs the face right of that overhang and joins the corner up to the GT ledge at the obvious rap tree.
Looks like a fun overhang though

Comments: Just go there and climb it. Do NOT ask anybody for the beta before! This way you'll remember doing "The Move" for the first time for the rest of your life! First time I followed. Though I was leading it the second time, it was only half as exciting as the first time. Still an awesome climb!
P1 is not that great. If you can do 5.9s, climb Directissima to the GT ledge and then go up the High-E pitch. This will make a memorable climb for sure!

Comments: My first trad lead in September. Awesome climb for the grade!
There is really no reason for breaking it into 2 pitches unless your 2nd needs encouragement at the traverse.
Rapped safely from the tree anchor with one 60m rope to the ground

Comments: Getting to the first slopey ledge was the crux for me. Felt solid 5.10 if you use the arete only. Though it felt reasonable to me, to use the other side of the wide crack and chimney up to the ledge. This lowers the difficulty to somewhere around 5.8, but also involves high ground fall potential.
The upper roof section felt more like 5.9 to me.
My favourite climb of the day since I wasn't able to make it past the thin face moves on Azucar and Crotalid was soaking

Comments: Great Route! Just make sure it didn't rain the day before if you want to climb it.
I'm a little concerned that the huge crux sidepull on the roof won't be there for long

Comments: Nice remote place with an short and easy approach. If you don't like the crowds in the nearby Gunks on the weekends - or you don't lead trad, this is a good place to go.

Thanks a lot for showing us around Erik! It's always an great experience if you're getting introduced to a cliff by THE local.
Especially the easier climbs are still pretty dirty since the area is fairly new and the routes have been hardly climbed yet, but I'm sure they'll clean up nicely once the area becomes more commonly kno... more >>
