Comments: Um... sounds like someone needs to go put up his own routes in a style he finds acceptable.

Comments: Murdock and I also looked at that crack. Why not just bolt it. No more dark side than the others.
I'm with Canada, I don't want to haul a rack out there for 35 feet of crack.

Comments: The top half of this little jewel is as good as it gets. Sure whish there was more of it. Too short and too easy at the start for three stars however.
I used the outside edge of the dihedral for hand holds and stemming until the very last bit. It's not 10d if you stay out of the dihedral.

One more on the dark side. You lads are shameless.

Comments: I thought this one had some fun moves. The 1st 3 bolts need to be reworked and straightened out a bit. I reached down and unclipped the second after I had clipped the 3rd.

Comments: Climbs way better than it looks.
You guys have gone more darkside than EFR and I.
Though hiking out in the mid day sun I was glad I wasn't hauling a rack.

Comments: I've always thought we should install an actual rap from this thing before someone snaps off a limb from that tired tree we all down climb. That tree is definitely showing signs of abuse. It's not nearly as healthy as it was in 1996 the first time I did LMD.

Comments: I've done this very thing for 30 years. Totally fine. Once the clove is snug it's not moving on the biners, and two big chicken heads is more than adequate for a belay.

We didn't know this. So I led it, when we first started doing stuff at Weather Top, and placed two bolts. When Peter said they had done it years before we chopped the bolts.
We also cleaned a bunch of loose stuff off the route.

Comments: OK I posted I would move it down in 2007. It took me 7 years to get around to it. Is this what they mean by a 7 year itch.

Comments: Could you upload a smaller photo. When I print this one it's still to big to use as a postage stamp??

You might want to pay attention to the resolution when your formatting your new guide book.

Comments: We scrambled onto the ledge from the right. You can get a small but good TCU to protect the moves out onto the face and up to the ledge where the first bolt can be seen.

Comments: Ray Ringle bolted this line years ago. If you cleaned off all the loose holds there wouldn't be a climb there at all. It would be a great climb if the rock was better.

It's a bit harder than .12-. Especially has the hold at the crux keeps crumbling away.

Comments: Your right Ronin I've never been bold enough to do a 30 foot 5.8 FA more than 20 feet from my car. You be bad.

"If so the answer is simple: don't climb at the Shaman Wall or really, on any of my lines... most are adults only." If this isn't thumping your own chest I don't know what is.

This has got nothing to do with ethics. I said your are, and should be, free to do FA's in any style you want. But calling anyone who might dare to attempt your death defying new route "bitches" is nothing ... more >>

Comments: Well lets see, most of the routes at the Outcroppings were put up in 2008. Squeezing the Lemmon II came out in 2000. That might be why there not in there.
Eric's a fairly forward thinking guy but that's asking a lot.
