Comments: Thanks! Actually we were near treeline, so the trees were very short. Still, this was a day after they had a foot of new snow in the high country.

Comments: Thanks Gigette! That week was a fun flurry of activity...this was a training hike up to Longs. Comments: Love it! What kind of BD pack is that? It looks a little bigger than the Bullet. I do the rock trick, too. Always put a decoy rock at the top, and the real lead at the bottom... :)

Comments: I climbed this again on June 1, '07, and the crappy 3rd bolt on the first pitch was no longer there. You can set a pretty good cam in 20-30' above the second bolt before you traverse over to the flake and up to the tree. I love this climb...very relaxing! Also, it is possible to sew up the slot pitch (right below the summit ridge) with a set of nuts. I think I set about 5 nuts and a grey Alien on that pitch. Not because the climbing was hard, but just because I could....

Comments: That is the general feel, although try Cindarella at the Boneyard. Rated 5.9, more like a 10b. On the other hand, I lead "Dyno-Mite" today rated 5.9, more like an easy 5.8. YMMV...

Comments: I would say 5.10a if you can wire the two moves over the roof (it took me a couple of tries...but the aforementioned beta is right on...a well placed left crimp and a hidden high left foot are key, step up and grab the high jug with the right hand). Otherwise, the rest of the route runs about 5.8+.

Comments: My climbing partner Barry and I eyed this yesterday...kind of wet and cold for March, but it looks awesome! He said he normally breaks it up in to 3 pitches...
