Comments: Can anyone recommend dirt bag camping in the FC area? I'd like to spend a few days exploring the climbing and running. EDIT: Answer to my question here.

Comments: Wonderful route, but I agree that by no stretch of the imagination is it a hand and fist crack. There are jams here and there, but it is mostly a wide crack kept tame by stemming, face holds, and features within the crack. I was happy to place two #4 Camalots. From the ground, it's difficult to tell, but after 40 feet or so a small crack begins to open up on the right wall accepting small gear. Great route and thanks for the description and photos.

Comments: I've cross posted this to a few places... I am looking to go to go to EPC from sometime between the 8th and 22nd of December 2009. I have gear, am experienced on long routes and these days can red point 11a. I drive well and have a background in guiding, and I'm an all around swell guy... I do not have a car so I looking for someone who may be driving from the south east (Florida, GA area.) I am in Tallahassee. Contact me for more details!

Comments: Did this with Matheuw Brown in the cold cold winter! Very fun but when it's an overcast winter day dacite feels like cast iron! The route feels wild and remote, even though your clipping bolts and I think you can see the mall from up there...

Comments: It's difficult to describe without a photo but my favorite exit for the Trinities is the far left one, best accessed from the Left Trinity. At the top of the crack, traverse left until you can reach out to the left / behind you to an absurdly large rail/block. From that rail you can reach out (steep!) to the base of a corner and place a .4 (grey) Cam-a-lot. One slightly grunty lieback move gets you up in to the corner. Fun exposed moves up to the tree.

Comments: I've never done the direct start but found the transverse in the from left to be a bit spooky. The Crux move up high of the ledge it very well protected with a beefy nut. I love how this route goes from delicate to powerful. Classic.
