Comments: Always wanted to try this route, but that mantle looks mean. What are the anchors on top?

Comments: I thought this climb was hard. The third pitch felt pretty thin to me. But there are a couple of bomber and tricky stopper placements on the third pitch! I may just need to go do this route a few more times to work out the beta.

Comments: Maybe we got off route, but I remember a manky pin (maybe manky old bolt) and overhanging, awkward, wet 5.9 (old school 5.8) on the last pitch. It's been awhile.

Comments: Loose, blocky, scary. The raps suck, too. If you lead the grade, do the southeast corner thruogh the roofs! I call it PG-13 due to the loose blocks.

Comments: I think there may be good FAs in the back of this cirque. Has anyone heard of anything back there? Check it out on Google Earth. From the top of Arrowhead, you can see a wall in the back that looks awesome from that perspective.

Comments: So good I did it twice! Only climb that I have done where the crux was no hands. I downclimbed a couple of feet from the belay, got two good foot jams, then let go with my left hand, leaned to the right to clip the pin, then got the fingers with my right. Super fun and exposed. Also, this climb has the best 5.9 pitch in The Park, the left-angling finger crack on the 3rd? pitch. Go do it!

Comments: This mountain is alive, and it hates me! I worked trail crew in The Park for about a decade, in '07 7 of us got srtuck by lightning at Granite Pass. Got frostbite on Kiener's in Feb. '01. Been rained off the Diamond too many times to count. I think she's telling me to man up and lead something hard. She demands respect!

Comments: Anyone who goes to the junk should do this hike! Watch out for thin rock that is not on the arches. I almost died here. My friend was on a thin arch, I said "dude, that arch is thin", he looked at me and said "dude, you are standing on an inch thick rock!" I nearly puked. Pay close attention to the danger signs.

Comments: Fun, fun, fun. Done it twice, will do it again. Bring a blue tricam for the pockets on the last pitch. This route seems to get harder as the pockets erode, but it is still easy 5.9.

Comments: If you can lead the grade, do this route! Simply amazing. I thought the 5.9r section was weird as well. I kept barn-dooring.

Comments: It's been a while, but I remember the start of the second pitch was a little spicy, but the runout on 5.7 above the last new bolt was long! And the reward, some manky old piece of tin that was probably made in someone's garage. Beautiful route, though.

Comments: I'm not a fan. Neither was my partner. Both of us have plenty of experience at Lumpy. Of course I made some mistakes. We combined the first two pitches, and towards the end of that pitch, I got lost in the 5.9x. So, I downclimbed back to the bolt probably 15? 20? feet and my partner didn't get any of that rope back. At the bolt, head up and right. I suggest doing some other stellar 5.9 on The Book.

Comments: This was my first mountaineering route! Done in Feb. of '02. Cold, windy, frostbitten, black toes! Don't underestimate this route.
