I am 54 and fat. I've been climbing since I was 18. Now, all my partners are either gone, busy or have quit climbing. I am old enough to know myself and I know that when I climb, I feel better about myself and I work better and harder at all the things I love. I like easy, fun days of climbing. I've done tough slogs into the desert and moonlit walks to Half Dome- no thanks, I did all that for years and my knees can't take that any more.
