Location: AZ : Mount Lemmon : Rupley Towers : Asleep at the Wheel (5.10) By: Jeff Fassett When: Jan 13, 2006 | view comment >> | Comments: That's because there was no such thing as 9+ in yosemite. The YDS went to 5.9 and only used a,b,c,d upon reaching 5.10 Check out an old yosemite guide book. Personally, I think +- thing below 5.10 is a bit whack. That's about all I got on that,

Location: AZ : Mount Lemmon : Mean Mistreater Wall : Rich and Dave Route (5.8+) By: Jeff Fassett When: Jan 12, 2006 | view comment >> | Comments: Are you kidding? What's not to like, great rock, great exposure and fun climing (try steming the outside of the chimney and staying to the right). There is more to climbing then just simply "pulling down".

Location: AZ : Mount Lemmon : Hairpin (Hairpin rock) By: Jeff Fassett When: Dec 10, 2003 | view comment >> | Comments: The area with routes #6,7&8 is in need of a lot of work! As it stands now, there is extreme accident potential, with loose rock both on the ground and on the routes. I would be happy to see this area cleaned up and would love to help.

Location: AZ : Mount Lemmon : The Fortress : The Rupley Route (5.9) By: Jeff Fassett When: Nov 5, 2003 | view comment >> | Comments: If you have a 60 meter rope, you can just squeek out the last two pitches and avoid the hanging belay. If you don't have a 60 meter rope and try this, you will be hosed, as the knobs would be hard to tie off for a belay.Communacation may be difficult if there is any wind.Jeff
