Comments: This is in the running for the worst route I've done at Rumney. It's dirty, always wet, bolted weirdly, and generally sketchy all around, though I'm told that some people (i.e., Lee) like this kind of climbing.

Comments: A great addition. Who knew that such nice rock was hiding under all that lichen up top? Well, I guess Ward knew!

Comments: Hi Sean. Yeah, I cleaned the two lines on that boulder, but they're open projects. Go out there and send them!

Comments: LOL Mark!

Also, LOL to anyone who thinks about climbing outside right now. On my drive into Plymouth this morning, the car thermometer said -15 degrees F.

Comments: I'm glad to see this area getting some attention. There's a lot of rock up there, and it all seems pretty unexplored (or forgotten). It's strange that more people don't climb on these boulders, as the approach is perhaps the shortest in Rumney, outside the Pound. Maybe more info here will inspire people and revitalize the area.

I'm all for changing the name too.

Comments: Looks like a fun linkup, and a really long day! I'm surprised the mid-cliff access gully wasn't used. Wouldn't that speed things up?

Comments: I don't think Man Overboard is one of the best. It's too disjointed, IMO. I think my vote would be a tie between Anaconda and Aquarius.

Comments: I think Anaconda-Da-Vita should be in the running for the best 12d at Rumney. It has it all--a technical start, heady climbing away from your bolt, an insecure clip, a hard crux, and pumpy steep climbing after.

Comments: Does anyone know what's up with those anchors between Sally's Alley and Black Dog Crack? They're up and right of the Sally's Alley anchors on a steep face right below the top. Thanks!

Comments: I climbed this route yesterday, and I think it's the best 5.10 in the Meadows. It should clean up to be a popular route...which is so much better than languishing in obscurity as a sketchy trad line.

Comments: I might be so bold as to call the Duet Direct crux pitch the best 5.10 pitch in New Hampshire.

Comments: Yes, stand start with your left hand on the flat arete and right hand on the bad crimp sidepull. Put a foot on and go hot to the good hold on the arete.
