|More information:|On February 7, 2009 I fell 40-ft and crushed my L1 vertebrea and sheared the cartilage of my left foot. I spent several weeks at St Anthony's Hospital in Denver and they were able to fuse my T12-L1-L2 vertebreas together and rehabilitate me before sending me home. 2 months after that they operated on my left ankle and replaced the cartilage.
I feel like I'm physically back to where I was before they accident, but I'm still struggling with the mental side of climbing. However it's all a process and I'm grateful to be given the oppurtunity to climb again thanks to the advancement of modern medical procedures. A big shout out to the best back surgeon on the planet Dr. Douglas Wong, and the love and understanding from a wife that still allows me to pursue something that I am passionate about.
