"Old" start of Northern Pillar, most climbers now start 30 feet to right on the face.  Northern Pillar is on the right side, climber is rappelling from Madame G's rings (on the rock in front of the big tree).  Better view of right side. Climb left of small birtch tree  Approaching on trail. Regular Route starts in middle an hooks right following the obvious 2-0'clock groove-crack.  Coming down from Asbury Park, also shows the funny rock at Rumney
