Comments: Brian, you have offended me. it hurts knowing you think i'm endangering myself and setting a dangerous example for future CT climbers. However, i've hung up some draws on my home wall so I can practice clipping correctly. Maybe I'll make a video for everyone.

In any case, it's a good thing I didn't fall out of the knee bar, or off the 1 foot ledge I was standing on, or off the hero jugs at the end, or onto the correctly placed last draw, you know, the only one that matters on this route....

Comments: after going through the trouble to tape all the holds with matching colors....I think the paint will have to wait a bit. Grand idea though!

Comments: This is a singular boulder with several fun problems. Park for pickwick's preserve and walk in along an old road. The boulder will be in a small stream bed on your left. 5 minute approach.

Comments: 7 falls is a frustrating place. a ton of massive boulders and ledges but the rock quality is pretty heinous. I will admit I like to climb the easy highballs though.

Comments: yo cricket, you're correct in thinking a hold has broken ;) it has yet to be done since then. It's true that you may be the 3rd-4th person to try these routes though, so no hard feelings if the grades are off.

Comments: Here's a satellite map of the trail entrance off Champlin Road. There are boulders, not massive climbable boulders, but boulders none-the-less blocking this muddy old road.

Comments: What I can add to this is that TNC (the nature conservancy) no longer has any legal involvement with Ragged Mountain. However, Halley and myself are friendly with the head of stewardship in CT. I am sure TNC would be willing to work with RMF and offer some elbow grease. In fact, we've mentioned it to the guy and he was very receptive.
