When I was last up there in October, 2010, there was an entry in the register from some guys who claimed to have gone at it that way. It's steep enough for it, though can't say anything about the rock quality.

We had sun every day, and the winds weren't bad at all. Talked to some folks on my way back north through Chile, and they said March had also been swell. Earlier is generally better, however. If you're looking at these sites, know that 1,000 Chilean pesos is equivalent to about $2.00 US.
