Comments: That is buffalo wall and there are two aid climbs both rated A3 Buffalo wall & Tatanka.

Funny that the hardman of the sport haven't tried to free these. Then again, it takes a hell of a lot of work to get back in to the base of these.

Love this area

Comments: I was there about two week ago. Weather was in the 90's so tried to climb in the shade.

I certainly felt the elevation, after not doing much cardio in a while.

I'll be going back to climb in late september when the weather cools off.

Comments: Gents, It is also said that none of these routes have ever been freed. Lets see any of the proclaimed hardmen free this area.

Comments: found the route hard to lead but good rock for sandstone.

I love this formation with all the routes on it.

This is a great area to take a noob out to learn to place gear while still being on the deck.

Comments: This follows a crack/corner. There are pretty big dikes which you mantle. Some strectchy moves. Bolts at top of first pitch. Second pitch is short and real easy but little to no protection.

Gear up the Mid size c-4's

Comments: Climbed this last March and used a few c-4's as well as tried out Trango's mid-range Maxcams to supplement my rack. Liked the fact that the Max Cams fit in areas that my C-4's didn't fit as well.

Sweet route with interesting rock

Comments: I just got back from the end of Lyell Canyon around Donahue Pass. I was wondering if any one else has considered climbing much in the area.

There are some just beautiful walls up there.
