Comments: NNNOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!!! Not "the" flake for the traverse move? Did it leave any type of hold to use?
We did it Saturday, and I was commenting to my partner that if there was ever a hold I would consider gluing, that would be the one. Bummer.

Comments: The flake that is used to clip the first bolt flexes, be careful. Better yet stick clip it.
Big runouts on rap bolted routes are lame. That said, this is a rad climb with some great pocket pulling. An additional bolt, some cleaning at the bottom and this thing would easily be three stars.

Comments: "Excellent route for the grade". WTF does that even mean? If it was a different grade, it would not be as good? A good route is a good route, whatever the hell you think the grade is.

Comments: Right on, Tim, good to see people enjoying the Rock Garden! That is too bad that those holds broke, bummer. When I did the climb, the crux micro-crimps were that really good, chocolate colored rock and seemed quite solid. Guess it wasn't meant to be.

Comments: Hey Chris, the Fixed Pin pdf guide linked up top says any new routes requiring fixed hardware have to go through a review commitee to get a permit.
Thank you, Mike and all the route developers, it's always a great thing to have a new area to check out so close to home. Can't wait to go climbing up there.

Comments: Wow, what a bunch of whiney little bitches all you negative ACs are. This is a nice little spot with easy access and good climbing. Well worth checking out, a helmet is a good idea.

Comments: Loved this route! Sustained movement on quality stone, a must do at Titanic.

The route is called Sobriety Check according to the Bruestle guide.

Comments: Really fun route - the bolt spacing and friable nature of the rock at this cliff make for a heady lead. I thought this was borderline R rated due to the ledge fall potential from the last bolt to the anchors. Beware of a hidden barrel cactus on the ledge at 2/3 height, I found it the hard way!

According to the Bruestle guide, the route is called Mystic Cub. FA Bob & Carrie Robertson.

Comments: Having a community consensus is part of what makes us a "community" doesn't it? This is an old & tired debate as you already know. You're entitled to your opinion, but you're an outlier and in the minority. I see it as common courtesy to let someone complete the process of a new route experience. How tall a route is does not matter - one person's boulder problem is someone else's Trango Tower.

Comments: Wow - amazing the heated debates hidden in the deep dark corners of MP! Rhoads, you are as clueless as ever. As others have mentioned already, MOST climbers agree on giving the equipers a reasonable amount of time to finish what they started.
Am I seeing that photo right? It looks like a 15' boulder problem with 4 bolts on it.

Comments: .11c++, haha yes! Love the name, loved the route! For a single pitch sport route, this thing is pretty epic. Sustained upper headwall, awesome views - DH climbing at its best. Bring some long runners for the middle section to avoid rope drag.

Comments: Great warmup route. I'm only 5' 7" and didn't have too much trouble with the reachy move at the top - the bolt is at your waist so no worries.

Comments: So should wet wipes be added to the standard rack recommendation?
