I try to ice climb in the Catskills nearly every weekend from the time the first lines form until there is nothing left. I also make several trips to the Adirondacks and Maine for ice climbing each year. I have a full Gunks trad rack, and for ice, a full array of screws, double ropes, single ropes, and ice tools. I am a safe and experienced climber who has been climbing, on and off, for nearly thirty years. I took several years off when my children were young but am now climbing much more frequently now that they are of the age to climb. Because of the time off I am starting with easier routes to safely reintroduce myself to leading. I lived in Maine for nearly 30 years and consider it my home.
