Comments: This photo is of the east face about an hour below basecamp or so, maybe 16,00ft. To get to the south face (not visible), you continue around to the right side of island peak.

Comments: That tiny dot at the top is a climber. Also, note the rather large crevasse in the middle of the wall. Apparently, it has recently been growing larger and many people have difficulty crossing it with a 50m rope.

Comments: I climbed most of this route, but did not summit due to inclement weather (wind and visibility) and medical complications. If you have summit photos or route descriptions of the top out, please post them and help flesh out this page a little more! As a side note, on conditions of the January 1, 2015 attempt, it was unseasonably warm and hardly required a parka, no boot covers, balaclava, or down mitts, temperatures barely dipped below freezing in the sun but it snowed and became colder at night.

Comments: The map puts this in Rio Grande National Forest. The route I climbed was in Rocky Mountain National Park, just below Mt. Meeker. It is the furthest right of the three ice falls if you are approaching Dreamweaver. In the guidebook I consulted, it was allegedly called Columbine Falls, but clearly the Mountain Project Map doesn't match this.

Comments: I found an iPod when I was climbing here about a week ago. Send me an email if you are missing one, with a list of some songs on it, the type and color, etc.
