Comments: Just came back from Indian Creek over thanksgiving, and the bolts on IHC, supercrack, and 3AM crack all look bomber. (they may have been replaced/enhanced since Scott's post). I would agree that lowering through them would be hard on the gear though

Comments: From personal expierance castle valley is nearly unclimbable in the summer. Also it is well worth your time to find and stay on the trail. Bushwaching it is very hard and dangerous. Finally if you are bold/dumb enought to attempt it in the summer plan 1.5 gallons/person per day.

Comments: I'm not familar with this site so pardon the stupid question.

Is there a standard, or convention on cams for route beta? ex: when route beta says you need a #4 cam do they mean the rather large BD cam. or the rather small Trango cam?

Comments: I'm breaking out of Colorado on a road trip and could use some beta.

How big is the top of the tower? Could you sleep on it? Would it be ill-advised?

How bad is the sun? Can I climb middle of the day or is that really going to suck?

Also since I'm not familiar with the area what do I need to do to not piss of the locals and make more access issues for the area?

Comments: How is sandstone for trad?

I've been spoiled on the solid granite of S. Platte for most of my trad and I've heard some bad stuff about the sandstone of Indian Creek.

Is this true? How safe is Indian Creeks rock. Can I take a 20 footer or will my cam rip out of the wall
