Comments: V is for Verm. As you probably know, John Sherman was notorious for "tagging" his boulders with silver spray paint. In this photo you can clearly see his signature "V". More seriously, looks like you found a pretty good stash along the trail. Nice work. It's a fun area and makes for a great day. You should bring your innertube or canoe next time and check out the riverside crags. They are stellar.

Comments: We did re-establish the line that you guys climbed. The bolts had been chopped and I know the horizontal that takes decent gear that I suppose you placed a pin into. Ian added three new bolts and an anchor during the fall of 2008. The route is spicy, but safe, as the first bolt comes at around 20 feet. I believe we veered right near the top instead of going straight up, opting to take the route over to a massive iron chicken head that makes for a great end to the route below the chossy roof.... more >>

Comments: When Ian and I were working the route two years ago I thought it was 5.12- based on routes I'd climbed at the Red River Gorge. I'm not sure what Ian finally graded the route, but the crux is no gimme and I was only able to stick the move 1/5 tries or so and haven't sent yet. As far as I know Ian has the only send...
