Comments: I won't say this is the best crack in the world for everyone else, but for whatever reason it is my favorite crack I've ever climbed. Good job.

Comments: This was a pain to put up in almost dark conditions. Kudos to Aaron for all your hard work.

Comments: James, nothing I said replied to your comment or to colby's, I didn't reply to your comment because parts had nothing to do with this climb, that's forum thread talk and this isn't such a place. Thanks for understanding my point to a degree but I believe its generally hitting a brick wall with everyone that's going to back up Allen, of which it is obvious I'm not to fond of for other reasons left for a thred (oh, and I never saw the forum posts you are talking about or am I not understanding you... more >>

Comments: Quite simply when you read that initial post it sounds like "hey, this is the new name of the route, let's remove the chains to the other one." I have never had a problem with extensions onto routes, but I do have a huge issue when someone cuts a bolt, anchors, or whatever and then renames the climb. If this is not the case here then no one has anything to bloody-well worry about or do you? I said just that, and if such is not the case then don't get all offended or pissed off. Just say you did ... more >>

Comments: Amen, Greg!!! Who would just change someone's route and then rename it? I know one person but that's not getting rehashed. Allan it just seems to me that you are creating trouble for no good reason. Follow the ethics we have all been doing so for years or trouble will start and frankly it shouldn't have to be that way. Put that bolt for the chains back as you do not have the right to wipe from existence a route that you didn't put up. Make the original line safe to climb again!!! End of story an... more >>

Comments: "Given that there is much new interest and development in this area there is bound to be some mistakes."

Allan, the interest is not new, Greg has been up there pounding away for 3 summers now. Only recently did the info about the climbs get out. Other's like Luke, TP, and Bobby have also been up there putting up routes. And the numbered routes you posted are a slap in the face. Keep it up and down rating climbs like this and soon no topo will be sold at IME, or any of the MULTIPLE AREA'S NOT cu... more >>

Comments: I think this is an awesome area, I've been climbing there for years with Greg, the only things sucky are the hike and some of the trails around the climbs, which is really not that bad. Some routes which are not posted are awesome too! Nice area when you are sick of crowds!!!

Comments: Aside from the obvious contrast, good pic, and love the fact that you didn't post an ass shot, too many of those get out there, and I've taken my share, just so hard to get anything else!

Comments: PS... So when Aaron and I went back there after I broke my wrist, we couldn't obviously climb it, and so we did the huge walk around to the top of it, and half way there, we looked up and saw a bird, a plane, nope a base jumper in a gliding sut and barely got that shoot open to get over the lip at the bas of the canyon! 1 second away from getting a photo, but not fast enough. He was like 100' above us, or so it seemed. Sweet to be right under!!

Comments: I agree with you guys, Aaron and C.J. definitly put some real time and thought into Western Hardman and I was lucky enough to be an FA and I wish CJ would get back into climbing and kickass so he can do the climb he helped put up.

As for Dean soloing it... Um, I got no beef with soloing, i understand if a personal choice and I usually leave it at that but to solo a route with that rock quality is just dumb or crazy, I don't know which but the looseness it just way too risky for a solo, no big ... more >>

Comments: Tip: Don't forget your climbing rope, I did and that was a 6 hour drive there from SLC, UT.

The shop in Stanley across from the gas station (higher on the hill) was awesome. The owner hooked me up on a great deal because of our dilemma. Great guy, great store. Stop in!
