Comments: Cool! I grew up in the Fort and never knew of bolted routes on Arthur's. How's the granite?

Comments: I hadn't been on C.O.A. in twenty years, still a blast with a little Platte spice. Much funner with a nice full rack, instead of two cams, stoppers, and a hex. New book shows being able to rap with a 70m, not true. Double rope rap.

Comments: Classic first pitch! Second pitch, hand traverse and classic Voo, crunchy slab finish!

Comments: I find it a perfect place for a couple "teacup stacks". Some Laramie dude was telling my partner, inverted kneelock? I'm too old to try that, love the teacups. We always called it Voo10a.

Comments: We did it a few years back before #5 Bigbros and #6 cams. Old #5 cam to get started BigBro's rest of the way (long pitch). I call it inchworm technique - knees on front wall, feet behind, strenuous. Three #4 BigBros we had to climb back in to place them, then sling 'em long, then climb out. No pictures. It would be hard after Mainstreet, harder size and technique for me, though rated easier. Enjoy! Whoever is next on this Hoss. Miss you, Craig!

Comments: Definitely Platte meat and potatoes 4th pitch. C.T. told me he and Hubbel put it up in late '80s. I'll bet drilling the second bolt on lead was exciting! Miss you, Peter!

Comments: Legendary crack climb! Does a 10d have to only have one crux ? I'm usually a little flamed after the stem box. I can hardly wait to look for St.John's trick nubbin.

Comments: Perfect hands! I climbed it for twenty years before I was shown by old local badasses, that the original line goes straight up the bulge. My ol' guidebook didn't have this info. Also didn't have "Cold Turkey." Is it any good, or is it as granular as it looks?

Comments: There is a two bolt anchor a few slabby moves above the top o' the crack. Anchor building is not necessary.

Comments: I did this route in 07,great free and aid mixture. Three sets of brass up to #6, plus normal Zion clean rack w/ hooks, and many screamers. If taking a porta-ledge pop it between two headwall pitches,"stellar", then leave it and the pig there(traffic permitting),then retrieve as rappelling. There is a good bivi ledge, not pictured, to the right of route ,behind a flake, with a spinner bolt for porta-ledge(right of third belay or just after chimney),this flake/bivi was where we were able to ... more >>
