Comments: This boulder is not really on Enlightenment Ridge, maybe that is why people have a hard time finding it.
I think that the boulder is quality, and so is the work you guys have put in to it.
Perhaps it is deserving its own area on the MP Pine Mountain page. Other boulders on the north slope could also be included.

jus a thought.

Comments: We stopped by The Ghostys on Easter Sunday on our way back form Havasu and Josh. We didnt do any routes, jus some bouldering and scrambling. We did leave with our now customary Target bag full of trash. The garbage wasnt nearly as bad as weve seen it, but still. I guess any roadside crag is like that. Dosnt stop us from climbing there.

The new lines, are they around the back, "nOOb Central"?

Comments: All the routes on this boulder are super easy, but considering the height, I've worked out a top-rope anchor set-up for my boys using natural protection, also super easy.

Comments: The start of this route is pretty tough. Might be a little harder than a V0.

Comments: Picnic is the best area on Pine Mtn for kids and beginners. Lots of easy stuff, 5 minute approach, flat landings and lots of shade.

Comments: I had the opportunity to visit NJC last spring while on a high desert road trip with my kids. Envy. You desert folk have a nice crag out there. I didnt think the glass/trash problem was as bad as some other areas we saw(Spy Mtn, Ghost Boulders). We ran into more than a few families of off-roaders and everyone was friggin cool. Me and my boys drove away from NJC promising to come back some day.
Whats the current status on the CG construction at NJC? And is there anything to the rumors about plans... more >>

Comments: My son Carlo lost a tooth on one of our many trips to PM this summer. Picnic is our favorite area right now. We try all kinds of silly nonsense on this boulder and we have no doubt that we are not the first to have a good time with it. We gave it a name because the boulder wasnt in our guide. Tween boys are like that.
When Carlo and his pal Mitchell first climbed this boulder, they showed me the first little glimpse that they "got it" when it came to the bouldering thing; Withou... more >>

Comments: Shepherd Pass is brutal, the trail sucks but its the quickest way to Williamson Bowl and thats why Anvil Camp is nicknamed Advil Camp.

Comments: This is a great alpine climb! The route description on this page is 100% on; lots of snow/ice leading up to Ritter/Banner saddle and lots of loose rock in the chute. But still, this climb kicks ass!

Comments: Hey Dan,
The high water of the 04-05 winter storm did'nt just move the boulders around, it literally picked the boulders up and smashed them to bits! Boulders like Ape Shit and XXX are just plain gone now.
The AJP Boulder is about 4 feet high now, buried in sand. The Wave Boulder was flipped up-side down; some potential there though not very exciting. With the exception of the areas proudest line, Aquaman, the area around the Swimming Hole proper is more or less intact. Locals Only, A... more >>

Comments: I build a nice TR anchor over Beginnings for my 11 year old and his pals, fun climbing. The face to the right of Beginnings has some intresting moves down low, also fun. These routes are detached from the main PJ Slab making it a good place to take kids or nOObs.

Comments: River polished sandstone boulders. Severely decimated by 2004/05 winter storms. Not what it used to be.

From the 126 in Fillmore, take A street north and merge with Goodenough Road. Paved road ends in the foothills, go left on dirt road about 4.5 miles to a pullout on the left and park. On foot, follow unmaintained dirt road about 3 miles down to creek. head downstream.
