Comments: A good solid 5.8 pitch IMHO. Did it today on a 37 degree day...ouch the weather lady said 64 degrees!?!?
If rope drag (or cold hands) is an issue, you can always break it into two short pitches. Belay at ledge above the first piton.

Comments: Climbed this for a second time this past Sunday (6-10-12).
My two cents...
Approach: At the 'T" intersection turn East, park at end of drive, circle with pullouts.
Formation is viewed to the North, cabin downhill 200 feet East. Bushwhack to rock keep as East as possible to avoid gulch/cliff difficult sections.
P1: Climb in from the right, direct start overgrown with fern, towards bolt on clean slab.
Number 2 Camalot will protect move over small roof. Belay at ledge.
P2: Move right to short crack... more >>

Comments: Awesome route! Did this line yesterday for the second tiime. The last part of the last pitch is a head's up, spicy lead. Loose rock, tricky route/ gear, etc. This is pure adventure climbing!

Overbolted seems to be the norm for this crag.
Nice route, creative line.

Comments: Climbed this route yesterday. Fine line! A bit tricky as described, the roof/overhang is tricky but has good pro. The rap chains at the top are awkward so be very careful when setting up to rappel. Combined with 'The Thing' makes for a great Flatiron adventure!

Comments: Wow....
I don't know Dean Potter other then what I have read in the mags.
I feel what he achieved in Arches National Park was a swift kick in the nuts for all climbers.Who do you (Dean)think you are? Are you above all laws and regulations? Thanks for starting the sliding slope for future climbing issues we might have with the national parks and on other lands.Hope the pictures are keepers ...Would not want your Patagonia sponsors to have a mediocre catalog this year.Very selfish, shame on you De... more >>
