Comments: The anchors for Velvet Fist need some loving. It's a shame that route doesn't see more traffic, as it has some fun movement. I will definitely bring my big brush up with me next time I go, as it hasn't been climbed in a while and is thick in moss and lichen.

Comments: I agree with you on the ethics part and it's not needed. I'd say its more of a don't fall kind of thing. I figured it was because of sharing the same start. Thanks for the response!

Comments: Not Deadlift from what the description or pictures of deadlift are on mtn project. Everyone that I've seen up there says Deadlift starts further right on another bigger undercling that has a sort of pinky lock on it. Whatever it is though, it is really fun.

Comments: Met some nice folk out there the other day and they were telling us how cool the chimney section was. They were right! That chimney was a lot of fun. Well worth getting on even if you can climb much harder!

Comments: Fun line! Pretty tame for an 11, but a must do! The movement up to and passing the second bolt is awesome!

Comments: I'm all for keeping the rock clean and having no bolts at all. But, if you are going to bolt the second half, why not throw one down on the steep start about halfway up? Is it because that would be considered adding a bolt to BT Express? I really do like the steep slab moves up top!

Comments: It's about a V3 if you go straight up over the bulbous top rather than going out towards the left. Very fun if you haven't tried it.

Comments: Not Deadlift. The one I'm talking about is between deadlift and crawl daddy and is harder than both. It is very fun though!

Comments: What is the V5-6 problem that starts just right of this and goes straight up? It has the right side pull crimp up high just below the top.

Comments: Finally got on this today. Real fun problem! The grade seems way off though. If you are a solid 5-6 climber you should definitely give it a try. If you have a pad at the base of the tree the fall is real safe. Don't let the PG13 keep you off this fun problem!

Comments: I agree. Easier problem if below 50 degrees and less than 50% humidity (V3+). Hard to keep feet planted when warmer and more humid (V5).

Comments: I just went up today to do more trail work. Added two bags of mulch under a couple problems and plan on adding a couple more next time. There was some trash at the bottom of the slab area. Please don't litter if you come up here.

Comments: Awesome! Yeah I've hiked all over and climbed a lot out here. I haven't come across any pitons yet. I've climbed some really fun boulders that were a total pain in the ass to get to below the 'cliff' at the top. Not sure if I'm going to go through the trouble of making it easier to get to them either. There is a lot of potential for hard roof problems for sure! I've thought about bringing my cams up to do some of those climbs up the 'cliff.' It'd be cool to know who has done what out here. Thank... more >>

Comments: The 5.12 route on the left also goes on gear. Cams needed are C4 #'s 2,.5,.4,.3 and a C3 #2 or similar sizes in other brands. The C3 is important due to it's narrow head.

Comments: My buddy and I just did this route for the first time on 8/3/11 and man was it HOT!! Pitch 4 was an amazing pitch to lead! I knew it would be a rush when the rubber on my shoes was turning to goo. And my buddy was happy to have those bolts for P5! I will say though that the rappel anchors at the top aren't as easy to find as it reads.. There happens to be many islands of trees up there. We ended up rappelling off anchors too far to the right and had to up climb the rope 50 meters back up to f... more >>
