Comments: Russell, do you have any more details for this wall?

I think we did a 6c+, Swiss on The Storm, and some other 6a+ to 6b+ routes, but don't remember the names. Fun climbing.

Comments: We summited via a 6a face climb after traversing around following the cave pitch. Rapped straight (ish) down and found 60 m rope to be somehow just short on several of our raps... so be careful!

Comments: We tried the ski lift on one of our trips, too much scrambling around with heavy packs for us. Didn't help the wind was blasting, where we would have been protected in the very pleasant forest walk. For us the time was nearly identical.

kknight maybe already found out, no need for crampons or axes here in the normal climbing season.

Also, we found a handful of single-pitch sport climbs behind Aguja Frey, 5+ to 6c.

Comments: Awesome route. Linked p 5-6 as described here with no great difficulty, such a fun arete!

Recommended descent... couldn't tell you. Probably down the cara banana face. My partner convinced me we should try to rap the route (with some down climbing easy sections). It worked... sort of... don't do it!

Comments: Rap anchor at top of P2 was completely encased in ice, and covered in snow, when we were there recently. Tried to not ding the rings too much as I chipped them out...

70 m rope gets you all the way to the P1 tree

Comments: The first moves of P2 I protected with a micronut... not R exactly, but you should be solid on 5.6 to be comfortable here. You would be jumping down maybe 5 ft to the ledge if you blow it.

Comments: I found no fixed anchor after p1 -- ended up just going to GT ledge and rapping down over Strictly.

Comments: Slab not bad, crux has good gear... but man, that 5.8 stuff at the top took some focus to get through! PG13 in my book.

Comments: This sector sees much less traffic than La Torre or Antifeatro, making it a good choice to chill out away from the dogs and babies and musclemen...

Comments: We started too far left, ended up doing a short but harder start pitch, then traversed right to the actual start. Look for the fixed rope!

Descent now also possible from the E face. Keep going from the finish up to the summit ridge, and look for a large cairn with flags on it. Look back, and you should see "50 m -->" painted in red, pointing to the abseilpiste. 4x 50 or 3x 60 gets you down to a snow field, easy scramble and sliding down to the glacier.

Also, from the Galengrat fin... more >>

Comments: Direct start (5.8+ in grey dick) doesn't protect as well as doublissima start, but keeps the rope drag down.

Also, in the route sorting this should be left (above) Directississima.
