Comments: In 1981, a climbing partner of mine asked me to go up the canyon and climb on this rock. I was busy and could not go. It turned out to be very fortuitous as he went with his girlfriend and found a decomposing corpse at the base of the route. Apparently, this poor bloke had been up there for some time and was very advanced in his decomposition. Dave said that he was still wearing his EBs and there was a chalk bag attached to his belt. Comments: I've been up in the park a lot lately and conditions are about average. Around Notchtop guides wall is in thin shape. hot doggies is formed up but the last 5-7 meters broke off. Guides wall is in. I went up to all mixed up on friday and found a lot of rotten ice and sections of rock. It looks like it has seen a handful of ascents. Black lake has plenty of ice. Comments: We went to take a look at Practice Rock today, but we went past it because it's hard to see as you're driving up the canyon. This might help you from doing the same, zero your Odometer at Bolder Falls and it's between 2 and 3 tenths of a mile further on your right.
