Comments: Brian, I'm glad I'm not the only one that has thought of climbing up there, I think it has some good potential. And I look at claiming FA's like a woman; it's upsetting that I wasn't the first to get on it, but will love it no less if I am not. haha. So hopefully we can develop a little more up there! Jesse, I will definitely talk to Davin about this, I'm really interested to see the climbing history. But I will definitely try to get up to Lander, although my meaning of crush right is ... more >>
Comments: Nice photo! There are a ton of boulders like this in the WR range. This is why wondering about the wilderness randomly is one of my fav activities in the Winds. Lucky to live here! Where is this boulder exactly? Total 'beaut'!
Comments: I just figured I'd add it to Telephone Rd. because you have to take Telephone road to get to 713E. I will probably add a new area for it once I run into more than just one or two boulders on 713E.
As far as the project, I felt it was good enough quality to post to motivate people to get up on the boulder, so it can see some traffic. But it is a great boulder and I hope to find some more good ones in the area, so I can move it out of Telephone Road area.
As we all know, it'd be dumb to add a new area for one boulder. BUT, I am sure this boulder has been looked at before but can guarantee it's been unclimbed because the rock quality is horrible. The reason I'm putting this here is because I put a little work into it and under all the shit rock is good rock and it wasn't that hard to get off. If this got cleaned, it'd be a classic. So, if I can get a couple wishful thinkers like myself to get up to this and clean it, I think it'd ... more >>
That would be awesome if you could check some stuff out! I hate depending on my word sometimes! lol. But hopefully the weather will good enough to get some bouldering in. If you get the chance, check out 'Lynguistics' I'm so pumped about that one for some reason and I just want to see if you think it is good as I do. Hopefully you can find something I didn't too.
Is there a certain family you stay with or do you stay at NOLS? But that would be great to get some more info/history if you have any. I live in Pinedale during the summers and would love to have you show me what you know. I just started to explore last year and as you and I both know, there's a lot of potential up there.
Comments: Happy to see people start to explore this area more for bouldering. Want to get back and try some of the new stuff. Mike M? has been putting up a hard problems to attract a little more interest. I see him out there more than any other climber. Seems very knowledgeable and very friendly. I don't personally know him. He has been adding really good routes wish more did as well, I know it's hard but shoot, it'd be nice to have more hard problems in the vicinity.
