Comments: Camping / car-camping at the carpark is officially verboten during regular season. It is, however, tolerated at the ski resort carpark in Vals.

The last source of drinking water is a fountain at the top of the reservoir (shortly before the carpark).

There is a dedicated guidebook for the region. Check out www.adventure.ch/laentaclimb/laentaclimb.html (in German) for info, updates and topos of other routes on the Zervreilahorn and elsewhere nearby).

Comments: We found the crux of the route to be the slab below the bulge, not the bulge itself, on pitch four.

For the final pitch, where the topo calls for a friend 1.5 placement in a pocket, you want to have exactly that - we had a yellow omegapac and it did not work, which made things a bit more exciting.

Comments: Toll (in 2011, gets adjusted every year or two) is CHF 12, but this is only collected during the tourist season - if nobody is standing at the base or the top to collect, you've got nothing to worry about.

Comments: The third rope is a fixed line between anchors (there so you can pull yourself back in to the wall at the lower anchor....)
