Comments: Climbed to the bivy then fixed to P5 anchors on day 1. Single fixed 60m rap back to the bivy from there. The bivy is frickin sweet! Day 2 we climbed P6 to the top. I took my climbing shoes but did not need them for the top pitches. I free climbed a few times and was comfortable in my approach shoes. The 5.6 at the end is on a ledge... Approach shoes felt very comfortable to me here as well. We didn't use offset cams, though they may have been useful in smaller sizes. Used lots of small an... more >>

Comments: Very nice addition to Red Rocks & especially nice to have it right next to Physical Graffiti. Thanks for putting this up. We really enjoyed it. It was my friend Rich's first multi-pitch. This is a great route for a first multi-pitch.

Comments: The section at the top of the flake is like a little piece of J-Tree in Clear Creek. Fun route!

Comments: I felt like I was off-route on this one in several places. Maybe I still need to get used to the rock @ Clear Creek. The first bulge with sidepulls, etc, was really fun.

Comments: Awkward climbing on a very short route. The 5.10 on the other side of the pinnacle is more fun.

Comments: There is a fixed rope at the base of the North Chimney to help across the snow - don't need crampons. Route was dry from bottom to top on 8/19. Only 2 fixed pins left on the traverse pitch, but we were able to get good gear every 10-20'.

Comments: Great pitch, and great warmup for Spectreman. Take a nut and place it in the crack at the top to keep the rope out of the crack where the crack kicks back and transitions to lower angle slab. The crack is perfect rope size here. I fell seconding and wedged the rope into the crack. Could not pull the rope from the top and was too far down to free from the bottom. We were able to self rescue, but it took some time away from the other climbs we wanted to do.

Comments: This is a GREAT route!! This is a route I will do again... pure joy!! Climbing the route in 4 pitches is the way to go. With a **70m** rope this is pretty easy... just need to do a little simul-climbing on p1. At the top of P1, belay at the Left end of the grassy middle earth ledge. There is a 4-5' tall shark fin flake coming out of the ledge belay here and you can get to the next ledge atop the twin corners w/ no problem. There is plenty of gear in the 5.9 diagonal pitch. You just need t... more >>
