Comments: I never knew what the route on the right was called, but I agree that .11d is a good rating for it. Sweet little line. I enjoyed it.

Comments: Ryan is right. If you find the feet right for the roof moves it's not that bad. Psyched to onsite this baby back in the day.

Comments: I swear I remember avoiding getting into the chimney/OW at all. That was years ago and my memory might be leaving me. I remember just smearing up the slab just left of the crack and throwing in a piece or two. Has anyone else done it this way?

Comments: Totally better way to start; but not a great line to start leading on. The opening crack is a gimme, but yeah, the slab moves are a little committing. Could be a bit nerve wracking for a first time trad leader.

Comments: As much as I liked the headwall, I only gave it two stars as it slabs out into easier stuff afterwards.

Comments: Some of the most fun days are when you just put the guide book in the car, walk up, spot a sweet looking set of cracks and just do them. Who cares if its a route or not.

Comments: The main route developers for this area have moved on to other adventures (this area already took up a HUGE amount of work). So if anyone is up for the harder lines that will result here. Go for it! The route bolted just right of the big roof was bolted by Tristan Higbee but is now an open project. The route bolted more in the center of the wall was bolted by Perin, but left due to the difficulty. Ask him if you are interested in getting the FA. Otherwise, just drag your bolting gear up there an... more >>

Comments: If nothing else...this gives a good view of the steepness of the wall. It's really NOT steep, hence a fun angle for less experienced climbers.

Comments: Years ago I did a problem that started on the little crimps under the cool arch and moved left on a nifty little leftward dynamic move on a tiny crimp right on the lip and then into the juggy stuff the climber is on now. Fun little line I called "Chunder Bucket". There are so many problems all over this place. Part of the fun of bouldering is just scoping out new problems and trying them. Who cares what's established or not. Just climb!

Comments: If you want something else to do on this little wall: Some years ago, I inspected the line to the left that starts on the obvious flake. I considered bolting it and cleaned it a little. I sent it on TR and it was pretty cool. But I realized the opening flake might not stay there very long and wondered if it was really worth the effort so I didn't bother. It's a cool little TR though using some neat pockets.

Comments: The more I read about some of the specific pitches that are WAY more complicated than the topo makes it sound, I seriously have to wonder: How in the world did those guys put up this route in the first place? Had to take some serious smarts and MAJOR melons!
