Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Little Cottonwood Canyon : Gate Buttress : Beckey's Wall Area : Tarzan (5.10a) By: chrisIerickson When: Jul 19, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Agreeing with 'Sir Camsalot', starting far right and almost laybacking the handhold with high feet not only is the only reasonable way to do this, but should keep you away from the ledge...

Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Little Cottonwood Canyon : Hellgate Cliffs : East Hellgate : The Melting Mud Wall By: chrisIerickson When: Jul 5, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: We got up here with the Mountain Project app and realized it had no info on route locations. For that, you needed to buy 'the papers' at IME for $10. Do yourself a favor, if you want to know what you're climbing, go to IME and pick them up and you'll help support the guys developing these areas and spending time and $$$ on bolts.

If you found them, and are not using them, please give me a call! (970) 231-7425. Thanks!

Location: NV : Red Rock : Second Pullout : Black Corridor : L3 (5.9+ PG13) By: chrisIerickson When: Apr 3, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: The flake 1/2 way up is loose/cracking and marked with a big chalk X. Climbing around it to the right is harder (and fun). Once it breaks off, a new undercling will probably form...

Location: NV : Red Rock By: chrisIerickson When: Oct 26, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: Any suggestions on crags at Red Rocks that have big and flat bases? Thinking about a trip with the kids, and want to be sure they are away from stuff they can tumble down. Kids are pretty young, so we keep them close. Single pitch is best. Thanks!

Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Big Cottonwood Canyon : Beachball Crag : His Feet Smell (5.10c) By: chrisIerickson When: Oct 2, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: There are no anchors on this route that I could find, unless I was on the wrong route. I saw a hole where a bolt used to be though...

Location: UT : Wasatch Range : Big Cottonwood Canyon : S-Curves : S-Curve - Lower : Chorus Line (5.9) By: chrisIerickson When: Aug 8, 2011 | view comment >> | Comments: Every bolt on this route after the first 2 were old, rusty, 1/4" spinners. Not very confidence inspiring, regardless of difficulty.
