Location: WY : Wind River Range : Cirque of the Towers : Wolfs Head : East Ridge (5.6) By: Chris Nischan When: Sep 9, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: Just did the route last week, it was amazing. easy to see why its a 50 classic, tons of exposure, tons of fun. went off route following the ridge a little too long and had to do a sort of sketchy rap/down climb (with the multiple slings and rap rings it looks like it happens alot) back on route to the first tower, definitely easier to stay on the ground at the chimney between the first and second tower bomber holds all the way to the right to get onto the ledge for the piton traverse. which only... more >>

That part of the cliff is not open space and the owners have come out and expressed the fact that they do not want people climbing on their property. We are slowly working on access... Laurel By: Chris Nischan When: May 10, 2012 | view comment >> | Comments: As far as the cliff line in between Samp Mortar and Mountain Laurel goes, a few of my friends and I have cleaned, developed, and put up 12-15 routes along the cliff with more being developed as time goes on. Many going on gear with heady leads, while some must be top roped. As of now the grades range from around 5.6-5.10, with possibilities for harder climbs (most likely on TR) We plan on posting topo's at some point.
