Comments: Nice work Jon! Damn, that is a sick climb. Haven't been over there in years.

Comments: I would agree with Tim J about the tricam. When I first did the route I couldn't get the pink or red to work in that pocket, the blue fit really well and I have used that piece exclusively on the first pitch. Some folks just skip the gear placement and run it out to the next bolt, but for the short time it takes to drop a tricam in, I prefer to protect the moves to the third bolt. Great route!!!

Comments: I found this crack to be very strenuous and getting the gear in above the small roof was tricky. Though very short, the moves off the deck are stout and bouldery. The good thing is that the crux is early, the bad thing is that the crux is early!!! You definitely want to get good gear in before pulling up and over the crux section or you can deck on that ledge. Great locks, great gear and a pumpy route for its length. Better than Lookout, but harder IMHO. Good finish to any of those climbs that e... more >>

Comments: Hey Jon!
We are having some fun out there. No crowds, great views, impeccable rock! Such a nice and often overlooked setting.

Comments: I have always loved this route, it was my first 5.7 lead back in the early 80's so I have fond memories. I find it is a great climb to take with less experienced climbers as there is little exposure and big ledges to chill on. It is a blocky route and could easily snap ankles on any part of the climb at any given moment, so early leaders should stay focused when making the moves up...particularly on the second pitch (pooh link-up which most parties do). Still, they are fun moves, it protects wel... more >>

Comments: Not really sure why this one only gets 2.5 stars? This is probably my favorite "after work" evening cruises up the Thin Air face. Fun moves, good rock, great protection and an exciting finish all make this a fun outing.

Comments: The traverse to the right after this section is a heart stopper!!! Fortunately in only gets harder after that!!! LOL Great route though...

Comments: Hey!! That's my wife Kerin carrying my youngest daughter "Lizzy" with the pigtails and my oldest daughter Emma in the yellow in the lower right hand corner. We finished up the Book that day and were topping out over on the right and were catching a ride back with them. Too funny!!!

Comments: Not a fan of this one...a bit of a contrived squeeze job IMHO, but definitely gets your attention until the third bolt. I have seen two people deck on this route thinking it was 5.7.
