Comments: Would love to see some things added to this page. Took a skiing trip to the Beartooths this july (yes you can ski amazing lines well into JULY here) and was blown away by the amount of potential. I follow a couple locals through social media and they are always posting splitter cracks on clean alpine rock. Just on the MT side of the pass there are tons of steep limestone spires and fins that look like they hold great potential.

Comments: Way too fast. It appears to already be fall.

I was actually looking up at glory this morning and there actually seems to be some pretty good looking rock. Any ever made any efforts to climb anything up there. Even if there were just a handful of routes, it would be a decent alternative thats a bit closer to town than some other areas.

Comments: Found this route to be very fun. If it was a little longer and the bolts were standard hangers, I'd give it 4 stars.

The guidebook has it listed as a 10.c and in some areas it would be. But compared to the handful of other 10's I did in the canyon, the hands are too positive and the feet too good for a c letter grade.

Comments: A good variation is to climb monkey flower as the first pitch (especially if your partner doesn't lead trad). Its requires you to traverse back to the crack on some delicate face moves, but I was able to get a decent placement with a red c3 to protect the 2.0 potential fall.

Comments: Sustained and spicy 5.8+?! I haven't climbed this yet but this rating sounds like maybe we should just give in little a call it 5.9. Its kinda like when someone orders a steak and asks for it in-between medium-rare and medium. The distinction is just too small and ambiguous to exsist.

guess it doesn't really matter anyway

Comments: Mountain Project is a site for technical climbing routes (rock & ice). Summit Post would be a more appropriate place to post this. (and of course its already there: summitpost.org/mount-glory/267... )

Comments: found this one to be a bit stout for 10.b (at least compared to other ratings at rodeo). Solid 10 moves down low, lead to easier but continuous climbing on small edges and feet, with the technical crux of the route at the very last move before climbing the anchors. Maybe the last section just "feels" hard because you're well above your last bolt. The fall is very clean though and probably more dangerous for the belayer than the climber.

Between the last bolt & anchors is definitely old school. The climbing is positive 5.8. If for whatever reason, you did fall on the last move you will likely get t-boned into the roof 35 feet below (don't fall).

Comments: I haven't been out there this season but there is definitely a climbers trail (although getting up to it can be a bit tricky, theres about a 10 foot section of steep loose dirt before the trail starts). It sounds like you tried to ascend the scree field to the left of the trail.

While its definitely not a park service maintained trail, anyone who is climbing as hard as you need to be to climb at the goat cave, should be able to handle a little scree and loose dirt.

Comments: mount glory is a hike not a climb. There IS climbing on the pass but its more so around phillips ridge (teton reef) than mount glory.

Comments: Good climbing. The slab looks blank from the bottom but once your up there the holds are there.

Comments: Short and fun pretty much sums this one up. Work your way up small pockets, sharp crimpers and one bomber side pull

Comments: Super fun route. Definitely worth doing if your at the wall.

Beta Spoiler: Stay low on the traverse all the way over to where it merges into the next line. Its tempting to try and cut off the corner of the traverse but you'll quickly find yourself on a blank face.

Comments: Definitely do this climb if you're in the area (and have a 70m with 15 draws). If you're tall like me, it may feel more 10a-ish. It finishes on a reachy overhung corner that could feel 10b/c if you're short or pumped out. The moves are really fun and the rock quality great.

Comments: Be aware there is a bolted variation at the start of the third pitch. This variation goes straight up from the anchor at the top of the second pitch, while 'do it for doug' route continues on the face to the right of the ledge.

I tried to climb this route for the first time a couple weeks ago and ended up on this variation pitch by accident. Anybody have any additional info about this variation? I turned around after the third bolt after it became apparent I was no longer on a 10c route (fir... more >>
