Comments: Agreed completely... Also of note there is a MASSIVE (bus sized) detaching block, climbers right of Passage to India. This thing has moved under body weight and is almost half the size of the cliff. STAY AWAY!

Comments: Chris - thanks for posting... You mis-understood my post, "HA" - its a laughable situation and "Classic!" as it is a classic example of a CT access issue. Micah's post is right on after my researching the issue with Leslie and Fasulo recently. There's also no threat of loosing any further climbing resources at this point but Micah's post was also sarcastic and I think you missed that... which is good to clarify. The cops will come kick you off the cliff above the lake house property even though ... more >>

Comments: TR is just kiddin... his larger then normal sized ass only drills TR Anchor bolts in CT these days lol.... but i put it up so you and others would see it and hopefully respect the request. Also I'm going to get in there early tomorrow afternoon with the chainsaw and take care of that new tree that fell on the temple wall and hopefully can clean and send that proj underneath it too so I won't need to post that one as closed ;-) either!

Comments: There was a time in CT when Ken Nichols thought this form of protection was an acceptable and should be the standard instead of using bolts.... I really don't see the point to this; it's what, a 1% chance of holding if you actually whipped on them?

Comments: Brian is totally right, I was thinking of Whitestone Cliff. I would contact the owner of the guiding service and if nothing is resolved contact the Land Trust or whomever manages the property. Be weary of contacting a private land owner though because they could close the resource to climbing all together.

Comments: It's public resource and they have no "right" other then first come first serve really. Technically, under the law, these operations are supposed to get commercial permits to use state land but none of the guides I know do. I've heard stories of them supposedly asking and being told they were fine but that's not what the law says. If the state were permitting these operations like the law says they are supposed to it would likely limit group sizes and thus reduce impact on any given day, so m... more >>
