Comments: Correct! Some of the photos are stuff u can see on the north side of the route 8 cut through the forest. Some of the other stuff is on the south end. My directions shoudl be spot on. There's some great potential here but alas the rock quality is somewhat lacking.

Comments: It's probably around 70ft at the tallest points... One usually quotes a cliffs height by the largest vertical not the shortest sections.

Comments: I've mentioned it to Brien @ RMF... he like the idea but it would need a lot of work and the commitment from the RMF to go along with the whole plan not cherry picking parts of it otherwise IMO it's a waste of time and money.
Lastly is that this is a really obvious issue that has existed for many years now and the RMF has not been able to do anything about it so there must be pretty well formed opposition within the RMF. There are def those like Brien that want to see things changed for the be... more >>

Comments: I suggest a multi-pronged approached actually... first is some sort of re-growth/mitigation program and second is impact reduction. So that could mean laying hay (or something), planting seeds of local species, some trees, closing down portions of the top of the cliff to hikers, and possibly installing anchors were gear anchors are not secure.
