Comments: Thanks guys... I have temporarily removed the directions whilst this plays out. Please contact me (access fund regional coordinator) if you think you can help with this access issue in any way so we can coordinate efforts and ensure all the right information is passed onto the owners. Ideally what brian suggested would be best, I can provide documentation that could be given to the owners for their review as well as open up discussions between the owners and AF offices.

Comments: Ya nothing worth looking at... I spent sometime hiking back there but its all garbage rock IMO. I also checked out the zone just south of there once and found rocks but nothing that warranted a trip back with shoes.

What I've wanted to check out is: binged.it/1weYtF3. Land is owned by company across the way and south. I spoke to the CEO about access he said they let hunters go on there via waiver. But I never really pursued. From the geology doesn't really look inspiring... Heres anothe... more >>

Comments: I've explored extensively in the northern portion of the forest and found the rock quality no so good... Awesome to see there's some good rock on the southern portion though it does seem limited.

Comments: This shot makes this wall and rock quality look really good... I'm surprised honestly beacuse I've come across many cliff back there and none looked as nice rock wise.

Comments: The friendly answer is so if you see/find this cliff you know you should keep walking to the others that ARE climbable legally. Seem pretty straight forward.

Comments: Its the arete/edge of the roof. So Thor's goes along the inside of the dihedral/roofs, Lightening Strike ascends the outside corner/lip of roofs, to the right of Thor's Hammer.

Comments: So how much of this route is manufactured (drilled pockets, glue etc)? Is the crux natural or drilled? Obv its a quarry so probably all was manufactured... just curious though.

Comments: They show up that way because you rated them only one star, but appear based on community ratings... so says Nick.

Comments: Wow thanks for the backstory and information! Any bit of historical info is great! Especially, since you're the FA and the routes got some interesting and great history.

Comments: RMF prohibits the placement of any fixed gear. As their by-law is written, a climber could infact drill holes and place removable gear and still be in compliance. None of the routes on this arete have ever been lead... that's the draw.

Comments: Ha... already got the FFA haha! U might be able to do it on gear but it'd be R/X probably and drilling holes in that just to place RB's (that aren't meant to hold whippers) seems kinda silly.

Historically everything on this corner has been done on TR and claimed as FA/FFA. Sam Slater & Swan Song, Bill Lutkis and Black Orchid (FA on aid then TR for FFA), KN and Cygnus X. Though to be the first to lead a route on this corner would be pretty impressive.

Comments: With a pry bar and hammer im sure I could find some solid rock for an anchor. Might just be down a layer ;-) Actually, the bush that has the anchor built through it looks to have some solid rock right behind it.
