Used to love surfing on rainy days & climbing on sunny ones when I was living in NC. Moved to FoCo in 2012. No more surfing. Recent [estimated] downgrade to lead/follow grades b/c rusty & outta shape. Hopefully I'll get back in the swing of things soon.

This...

"Okay, I've been thinking about it.
Old custom: wait for a quick summer shower to wash the n00bs off the rock like coal dust from a miner's ball sack, then race up the route gathering all bail gear in a frenzied gear grab.
New custom: n00bs get washed off the rock like aforementioned ball dust, go home, then post up which route and what market value of said gear was. This will save a lot of surveillance time for more experienced climbers, fully maximizing their booty banditry. Everybody wins!"

...is hilarious! I'm keeping this strategy for summer at Ship.
quote from Zeke, in "Tipping point in booty ethics"

A good example of classic forum mentalities: "See my opinion is superior because I refuted your statement without actually arguing anything." ~JDM_Jev

Sep 30, 2015 · I think I found the awkwardness of this route to be a lot more fun than did other people. I really enjoyed it. Standard rack is PLENTY for this one.

Sep 30, 2015 · Fun fun fun! Fair warning: the title says '5.9+' but I'd definitely put this one in the 5.10 camp. It got a little hairy for a 5.9, in my opinion.

Fantastic
Sep 30, 2015 · It's already been said ...Fantastic!! Crack takes smaller cams nicely. Up higher, there's a flake under the bulge that also takes some smaller pieces, but just a headpiece and NOT something to trust (flake flexes).
