Comments: We left some red super tape and a biner on that stud last week. Too bad someone already ganked it. Should be up there to fix the anchor this week.

Comments: Fun route. Find it up the gulley left of transformer. Very leisurely.
1 60 m rope = sketchy transition near the end of the rope
1 70 m rope = better
2 60 m ropes = leisurely slide to your pack right off the front

This would be a great route to climb naked while a wedding is going on at the amphitheater.

Comments: Dang, this place might have to be renamed.

I was up there today, 3.5 years after the routes were established, and was surprised how clean the rock is now.

There was virtually no evidence of recently broken holds and there was even some chalk from recent use.

The climbing is still fun even if the rock is solid.

Comments: ZOSO hit the chicken on the head.

You can bet your ass I would have girth/trucker hitched if there was more head to hitch to.

There is actually one more chicken head tie off on this pitch before these that protects a mantle. good stuff.

please post pics of the proper way to tie these off when you do it.

Comments: There is (used to be) a "10 mile" marker on the right side of the road heaading where you park. It is on the right side of the road a bit down canyon from the the tunnel, a traverse route over the river.

Fallout and the adventure climb are fun sport routes and the cetation and crustation wall are pretty good. West of town try the iron mine and Pocket/sprocket rocks. Give gottta have nuts a try when you are feeling tradish.

Comments: come on. Everyone knows every route at the slips is classic. . . . why do you think everyone climbs there?

Fools progress has some of the funnest edging in BCC in my opinion.

Comments: Thanks for adding this. Cool to see what it was like before the road. I doubt people imagined going up there for a picnic in those days let alone climbing the rocks.

Great day of climbing new pitches. We went bottom to top with a majority of pitches I'd never climbed before. I love that.

If you are rapping the basic line of ascent, make sure you have at least two FULL 60meter ropes. Expect to be stretching it in a few pla... more >>
