Comments: I am not sure why, but this seemed at least as hard as some of the 10c or 11a climbs in the park (perhaps the erosion, broken holds and gunk?). However, after leading it twice I think a 10b/c rating is true - but expect the start to feel more like 11a. Also, if you are not accustom to climbing aretes, then it might feel more difficult than 10b.

Comments: The finish is definitely worth it. It has more character than the usual routes on the morning glory that typically attract the crowds. It will only improve with time as it gets cleaned up - however, it is not as bad as some of the rock on the back side.

Comments: I agree with Adam, one of the best 5.9 trad climbs. Its sloped enough where its a small finger crack rated below 5.10. I also agree, go through the roof! If you are worried, stick a yellow BD cam in the crack above the roof and go for it!

Comments: I did the thin crack between the 8 and 9 and really liked it. It takes small gear well, however, it was a weeping a bit after a few days of rain followed by one day of sunshine.

Comments: Is there actually a loose overhanging block? Is it a safety concern or just a name?

Comments: I just lead up this one a few weeks back and I expected it to be a cake-walk, but that was not the story. I am glad I'm not the only one that thought the rock was super polished. Did you guys do a short traverse after clipping the first bolt and climb on the left of the column where the obvious foot holds are? Initially I tried a heal hook, but it was a bit awkward and required immense flexibility; then I found the ledge on the other side.

Comments: I am moving to the area and am interested in putting together a guide book with some folks that know all the problems and have access concerns in mind. Let me know if you want to make this happen.
