I started climbing in 2001 at a small crag in Ohio. After a brief bout with sport climbing and following a few trad routes, I moved to Colorado where I focused on skiing. I worked At Winter Park and fell in love with telemark skiing [inbounds and backcountry]. Then I attended school at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. My emphasis was film. And now I am back in Ohio. I work at a wonderful gear shop [Appalachian Outfitters]. And as of last year I began leading trad and I am in love with it. I have been climbing primarily at Seneca Rocks, WV and I have been thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. While continuing to improve upon my trad skills, I am also preparing to learn ice and mixed climbing techniques. My goal is to combine all of my skills so that one day I will be a safe and competent alpine climber. I am already composing lists of dream climbs, but I have a long way to go.
