Comments: A little chicken-head hold broke off right after the traverse on the second pitch making the roof a little bit harder.

Comments: What routes are at the top of the gully just to the south of Yucca. We rapped down there today off a bolted rap station at the top and saw a few bolts on the head wall. Looks to be solid .11 face with small discontinuous cracks.

Comments: If you climb the 2nd pitch and head straight up, instead of heading toward the top left, you can see a shiny new bolt above an older bolt, and then above a roof there is some fixed stoppers in a crack full of bird shit. The fixed gear is about 15-20 feet to the right of the 5.10 hand crack above the 1st crux on the correct 3rd pitch.

Comments: On the approach, you hang a left when the road peters out on the second ridge. We went up the first ridge, passed by a mine shaft and quickly realized we were beginning an approach out of Lord of the Rings. If you are not a well worn trail with cairns you are screwing up.

Comments: Must not get climbed very often. Did it yesterday, on a Labor Day weekend and had the whole place to ourselves. I'm certainly going to do it again.

Comments: One of the best 5.8's I have climbed in the Sandias. Excellent rock, ample pro, pretty vertical. What more can I say!

Comments: Heads up, there is a rattlesnake nest at the base between Summer Solstice Slab and Right Tower. Not that anyone should be surprised.
